Jungle Babbler - The Welcoming Bird
Visit a jungle and probably the first bird to welcome you could be a Jungle Babbler. Not just one but seven at a time, of which one will openly receive you, while others would step out in tandem like kids at home. Since they collectively roam around, they are also known as Seven Sisters in English and Saaat Bhai in Hindi. I find these names strange because the numbers can increase or decrease, could be between 6&10. They are notoriously loud, making harsh cackling sounds, that easily and quickly reveal their presence. But they are highly gregarious often seen allopreening, which means cleaning each other and foraging together; a scene that showcases the power of unity.
